It was guys like you that were saying the PS3 is doomed last year and look, it's not dead. BD will have it's day in sales, it's just the start and as Sony says in all of its ventures, it's a marathon, not a sprint to the finish.

No, it's an opinion alright. Why do I say that? Well, let's see here. It's just the start of the blockbuster season and to talk about sales in a time when few huge hits were released is silly. He chose to report at a time when sales dips are normal. Wait and see what happens mid to late summer when the movies are all on BD/DVD and the holidays approach. Then we will see BD sales pick back up.

Um, just to correct you on something...
You can only play HD-DVD's that have the "DVD" version of the movie on them in your DVD player and you will not gat an HD picture by doing so. It's just that in some cases, the companies would equip the HD-DVD with the DVD version for dual media play.

It's simple, does the game play great? Does it make you giddy when you turn it on to play? While playing the game does it make you look hard at the screen to see (or not see) the missing lines of resolution? Come on, this is getting old. it's not like Halo 3 or COD4 looked bad. In fact, each of these games look great.
It's the end of a long lived story that we who have all seen it from the start are dying to see how it all ends. It would be like reading the first two books in the LOTR and not reading the last if you never played this title. I want to see how it all comes down and how Kojima ties up some lose ends from the previous titles in the series.

I am about to pee my pants. Does anybody have any websites that have up-to-date info on when, where and how they are going to get the information to us? I just like to have all my bases covered for these events. I love hearing about new games and hopefully some new services too!
The more the merrier in my opinion. I do however wish that each of the Sony smoke stacks would collaborate more and get their game on together rather than being each individual entities. It's hard to see Europe lagging behind in so many ways that it makes me want to slap Sony up for not getting their worldwide act together.

I say this because I would love to see some harder and larger levels if and when they decide to make another portal. It would be even cool if they incorporated the game play into a game containing an even deeper story. We can all live with more portal, right?
Looks like it will help expedite the issue but it's still a shame that MS would rather outsource this touchy problem than actually handle it with professional and educated techs and CS reps. This outsource to India stuff seems a bit over the top.
It just seems that this rumor doesn't flow with what MS has done thus far. I can see them making a BD add-on and outfitting the consoles with their new fancy boards but in no way can I see them making a call to go with an "Ultimate" 360. They would be more likely to actually release a whole new console in a couple years and drop all support for their 360 than actually come out with a higher version of the 360.

Well, I can hope it will be good but as history has shown us, not too many devs poor the correct number of resources into doing so and we end up with a poor quality port. If they can keep it running smooth and looking good then maybe I'll plunk down some cash.
PS3 killer? I would have thought that with the PS3 outselling the 360 each week worldwide that people like you would have snuck back into your caves. Sorry little buddy, but here's a news flash, the Sony PS3 is not going anywhere.
This is the same for all things. No matter for what reasons you are the most popular, negative or not, it is up to the developers to make the best of the situation, even if that means airing out the "dirty laundry" from time to time. If anybody thinks that America is the land of opportunity then moves to New York, you have a few reality cramps awaiting you.

It's MGS for god sakes. Who cares what number they give it, I still won't read the review, especially this early out. I want to experience MGS4 without any spoilers so this will be one review I will pass on.
